Phil and Kelly are a husband and wife team born and raised in Manitoba with over 30 years experience in Architectural and Interior Design.
Out of University Phil landed a job in a small Architectural firm where they designed high end homes and small commercial projects. 10 years into his career he moved to a large firm and spent the next 15 years working on large commercial projects including the Human Rights Museum, Remai Modern Public Museum and the Diversity Gardens to name only a few. Phils passion was always in
High-end Home design, and therefore worked in the evening over a 25 year span with his best friend (an Interior Designer) he met on the first day of University. About 20 Years ago Phil was taken to Comox to work on a large project that would bring him to the Island often, and of course fall in love with this beautiful place. For the next 20 years he tried endlessly to convince his family to move to a place you can golf and ski all in the same day!
After 25 years working in the evenings with his best friend they became partners and run a boutique firm out of Winnipeg, taking their projects from Toronto to New York and Florida to name a few.
Kelly was raised with her family owning a construction/ finishing carpentry business and had no choice but to gain hands on experience from a young age. Though Kelly's career took her in the direction of Finance, her passion for design was always there. She was able to work with Phil in the evenings working on residential design through the years.
Phil finally was able to make his dream a reality and have his entire family move to the the Island a few years ago.
This gave Kelly time to return to school and formally graduate from Interior Design.
This then led to the creation of
Cedar Street Designs. With extensive experience in their creative and technical skills, your project will be stunning, run smoothly and within budget.
They want to share their skills to enrich this Island Paradise. The Island is where they can be their best and bring to you their inspiration and creativity that flows organically all around us.

Kelly has developed her lifelong passion for tasteful design and interiors by completing a diploma in Interior Design with previous complementary work experience in Construction and Finance. Kelly is active in digital media platforms with emerging design trends and regularly attending industry trade markets to ensure we bring the most current and timeless trends to your design.

Philip has 30 plus years in Architectural and Structural Design with local and International Architectural Firms currently specializing in high-end Residential Design using leading-edge 3D design, presentation, and construction software.
